A home buying program for lower income people and families. ABC assists them to become homeowners by providing fully rehabilitated homes at affordable prices. They counsel and walk you through the home buying process. ABC also offers rental housing.

Provides free first‐time homebuyer seminars, one‐on‐one pre‐purchase counseling, and pre‐ settlement counseling through the HomeOwnership Counseling Program (HOCP). 

First‐ time home buyer seminars provide a comprehensive overview of the home buying process. Seminars are offered in English and Spanish. Program staff also administer the Home Ownership Savings Account Program and the City of Bethlehem Homebuyer Assistance Program, which provides down payment and closing cost assistance. The program provides mortgage foreclosure counseling, loss mitigation, and Court Diversion Programs in Lehigh and Northampton counties. HUD-certified housing counselors assist participants in applying for a loan modification or repayment plan. Housing counselors also assist participants, who are behind on mortgage payments, to apply to the Homeowners’ Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program

A first‐time homeownership program that helps low‐income families achieve first time homeownership and increase stability in their lives with a 0% interest mortgage. Buyers must meet the Habitat guidelines in order to qualify for the program. Please call Program Manager Brenda Strockyj for any questions or stop by the office for an application.
