Degrees and Certifications:
Dr. Lorie D. Hackett, Superintendent
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!
It is with great pride that I welcome you back to school for the beginning of an exciting new year. Whether you have a student entering kindergarten and are experiencing our district for the first time or your child is entering his/her senior year, we welcome you. Our district’s mission is to serve the diverse community by providing educational opportunities designed to challenge students to strive for professional excellence and responsible citizenship; therefore, our entire staff will support your children both socially and emotionally and will challenge them academically.
While this school year will bring many changes and challenges as we open in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I am certain that our teachers staff and administrators will be prepared to provide a safe and consistant educational experience for our students.
As we enter the school year in the Blended Model of instruction we all hope that we will be able to move to the traditional model allowing all students to return to school on a daily basis. We will also continue to provide online options for those families who choose to have their children enrolled in that mode of instruction.
In addition we will continue to collaborate with our community to provide resources for those in need. We continue to seek to create an anti-racist environment that supports and embraces students of all races, ethnicities, and genders, and promotes equity for all students. It is our fervent hope that each of our students feels supported and respected by the entire school community, including our staff and their peers.
As always, the staff and students at Whitehall-Coplay School District are second to none. We strive to develop and foster meaningful relationships with our students, helping them to strive for excellence in Athletics, the Arts, and Academics.
We are “Zephyr Tough.”
I wish you all a successful school year!
