When Should I Keep My Child Home?

If your child presents with any of the following symptoms, please keep them home from school and seek medical guidance.  A medical note clearing them to return to school is required. 
SYMPTOMS

  • Fever/Chills

  • Temperature greater than 100 degrees

  • Shortness of Breath or Trouble Breathing

  • New or Worsening Dry Cough

  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Sore Throat (different than Seasonal Allergies)

  • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

  • In addition, please keep your child home and seek medical attention when there is suspicion of pink eye. Symptoms of pink eye/conjunctivitis: red or pink eyes that can be itchy or painful, green or yellow discharge, excess crusting around the eyes (especially in the morning), can be one or both eye
