    Hello WCMS Families

I want to keep you informed of some of the updates we have going on at the Middle School.  First, starting tomorrow all teachers will be posting enough educational material for one week for your children.  This information can be accessed through our WCMS Learning Links webpage which you can find on our homepage or by using the link below.  Teachers will update information by 9am each Monday morning until we return to school. As mentioned previously, these activities are not mandatory but are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to maintain your child’s current academic levels.  Loss of skills can occur rapidly in the absence of instruction and we want to do everything we can to ensure our students remain in the mode of learning. We thank you so much for your continued support of your child’s academic success.

Last week I sent out a survey regarding a pickup option for student Chromebooks.  We will be having a Chromebook pickup tomorrow, Monday, March 30, for those families who responded in the affirmative that they would like to retrieve their devices.  Please note-  These devices have already been pulled from homerooms and organized.  ONLY those students who responded via email or text indicating they want their device will be given a Chromebook.  Given the number of students in our building, we have to prepare this in advance for the safety of our crew of volunteers.

If you responded to this survey via email or text, please report to the middle school at the following times:  1pm (6th grade), 2pm (7th grade), 3pm (8th grade). We will also have one hour in the evening from 6-7pm if you cannot make the earlier time slot.

IMPORTANTPlease enter the parking lot via the parent drop off loop and remain in your vehicle.  Tables will be marked by grade level. Please pull up to the appropriate table. Crack your window and indicate your child’s name and homeroom.  A staff member will locate your child’s device, place it at the front of the table, and move away from your car. At this time please have someone exit the vehicle, grab the device, and return to the car.  You will also be given a loaner agreement in the event of the loss or damage of the device. Your acceptance of the Chromebook implies your agreement with these terms.

We are happy to be able to provide these devices to our students and to continue to provide the best learning opportunities we are able during this unprecedented time.

Please email me at any time with questions or concerns.

    Take care and stay safe,

    Mrs. Friebolin

  • School Closure: Food Distribution

Posted by WCSD STAFF on 3/22/2020 11:00:00 AM

Food is available for all WCSD students during the closure , regardless of free and reduced or regular pay lunch status. Meal pickups will be available at the HS parent pickup / drop off area, which is in the front of the high school nearest the pool and the gym. Pick up times are from 10:00 - 12:00, on every Monday and Wednesday. On Monday students will receive 2 days worth of meals and on Wednesday students will receive 3 days worth of meals. Students who need meals do not need to be present with their parent/guardian to receive food. Both breakfast and lunch will be provided. The food will be available curb-side, thus you should remain in your car to the best of your ability and food will be handed directly to you in your vehicle. The district is directing questions with regard to meals and food pickup to Wayne Walp at (610) 782-0961 or walpw@whitehallcoplay.org.

  • Holiday Hope Chests

Posted by Erik Kloiber on 11/13/2019

Its that time of year! Time to help out some of the less-advantaged children in our area with Holiday Hope Chests.

"Help us bring extra smiles to children during the holidays as part of this year's Holiday Hope Chest program! In 2018, we collected, organized, and distributed over 7,700 shoeboxes filled with gifts for children of need here in the Lehigh Valley. This year nonprofits are requesting over 10,000 boxes! Please help us meet this most ambitious goal yet!" ~ Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley
