Welcome to WCSD

Whitehall-Coplay School District is located on a 143-acre campus with all five schools located centrally in the district. Approximately 4,300 students report to the high school (9-12), middle school (6-8), intermediate (4-5), elementary (2-3), and primary (K-1) buildings. In addition to these buildings, the campus also houses the administration building, shipping and receiving building, transportation center, football stadium, all-purpose sports stadium, and field house.

School Board Meeting Information

Notice is hereby made that the Board of School Directors of the Whitehall-Coplay School District will conduct the following 2023-2024 meetings in the Whitehall High School Large Group Instruction Room, 3800 Mechanicsville Road, Whitehall, PA:
                  
Regular Committee meetings will be held on the second Monday of each month, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Committee meetings are not scheduled in July.
 
Committee meetings will be held as follows: January 8, April 8, August 12, and November 11, the Finance/Personnel Committee will meet at 4:00 p.m., and the Education/Student Activities and Operations/Transportation Committee will follow consecutively. On February 12, May 13, and September 9, the Operations/Transportation Committee will meet at 4:00 p.m., and the Finance/Personnel Committee and Education/Student Activities Committee will follow consecutively. On March 11, June 10, and October 14, the Education/Student Activities Committee will meet at 4:00 p.m., and the Operations/Transportation Committee and Finance/Personnel Committee will follow consecutively. 
 
Special Board meetings will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024, and Monday, August 12, 2024, with committee meetings to follow.
 
Regular School Board meetings will be held on the fourth Monday of each month, beginning at 7:00 p.m., with the following exceptions: Monday, December 18, 2023, and Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
 
The Board welcomes citizens to its open meetings and invites them to bring to its attention matters of concern. A member of the public, present at a Board meeting, may address the Board in accordance with law and Board policy and procedures. Citizens desiring to be heard by the Board at a regular or special meeting without prior notification may be allotted a reasonable amount of time by the President to present the issue of concern after submitting a Request to Speak form prior to the start of the meeting.
 
Directions for connection to view these live-streamed public meetings will be published on the district’s publicly accessible website. Individuals who need accommodation to address disabilities need to contact Michael Malay at; Boardsecretary@whitehallcoplay.org; at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting. This notice is posted pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Sunshine Act, 65 Pa.C.S. § 701, et seq.
